The National Space Centre is inviting families to embrace the unexpected this summer with the launch of its brand-new Family Film Club Secret Screening being held in in the UK's largest planetarium on Sunday 28 June 2026.

Designed to appeal to children and grown-ups alike, the special morning event offers visitors the chance to enjoy a family-friendly film on the big screen in the UK’s largest planetarium; the Sir Patrick Moore Planetarium – with one important twist: nobody knows what the film is until the screening begins.
While the film itself remains a closely guarded secret, visitors can be assured that the screening has been carefully selected with family audiences in mind. Guests can arrive from 9:00am to enjoy breakfast treats and hot drinks in the café before settling into their seats for the mystery screening.
What’s more, visitors can choose to add a day visit and continue their adventure exploring six interactive galleries, the iconic Rocket Tower and hands-on space experiences throughout the Centre. Annual Pass holders are encouraged to book their visit in advance, while guests purchasing a standard admission ticket will automatically receive a free Annual Pass, allowing them to return throughout the year.
Whether you're a family that loves surprises or a film fan looking for something a little bit different for a Sunday morning, the Family Film Club Secret Screening offers a fun and memorable way to spend some quality time together.
