De Montfort University’s Castle Business School and Leicestershire PR Agency, Fraser Urquhart Media, are proud to announce their latest collaboration project: the launch of DMU/DM Me – a ‘New Networking & Learning’ group that brings industry and academia together, and designed to connect, collaborate and succeed.
Launching on Friday 20th May, this Director-level group will combine the best motivational keynote speakers from industry and thought leaders, networking opportunities and, exclusively, a fast track to meet the hottest new graduate talent.
With a central ethos of ‘working together, we can do more,’ each quarterly event will take place on the award-winning campus of De Montfort University and is an opportunity for already-successful business leaders looking for additional growth to hear from industry leaders who will deliver short, impactful seminars designed to motivate and upskill.
Critically, each event is also an opportunity to meet with newly qualified graduate talent entering employment, so could be a powerful source of recruiting, too.
Free to attend, the launch event will consider the importance of Wellbeing in the Workplace and will welcome speeches from the High Sheriff of Leicestershire, Mehmooda Duke MBE DL, alongside motivational business-focused sessions by top Executive Coach, Dr Alexandra Morgan and stress management guru, Natasha Jolob.
Co-Creator of the group, Associate Professor Enterprise, Andrew Nicholson, comments; “It has long been my ambition to create a networking group that not only combines leading edge learning and business development, but could also become an opportunity for some of our incredible new graduates to link with Leicester businesses looking for new-generation talent. It made absolute sense to collaborate with Fraser Urquhart Media to bring this project to life, as their business connections and experience in the city are second to none.”
Fellow Co-Creator, Kevin Urquhart, MD of Fraser Urquhart Media adds; “Partnering with a world-class university on this project was an easy ‘yes.’ As alumnus of DMU myself, I see the need to not only draw the worlds of industry and academia more closely, but also to create an opportunity for business leaders to spot and retain some of the freshest new graduates looking for opportunities within Leicestershire. Our intention is to create a powerful city network to connect, collaborate and succeed.”
