Alex’s Wish has today unveiled the first of its showstopping vehicles set to appear at the 2026 Supercars event – led by the breathtaking LaFerrari Aperta, an ultra-rare hypercar valued at an estimated £12 million.

Taking place on Sunday 31st May 2026 at Ratcliffe College (10am–3pm), the Alex’s Wish Supercars event is already shaping up to be its most spectacular yet, with the LaFerrari Aperta confirmed as the headline attraction.

Launched in 2016 to celebrate Ferrari’s 70th anniversary, the LaFerrari Aperta is one of the most exclusive cars ever built, with just 210 in existence worldwide. Valued at around £12 million, this rare open-top model combines breathtaking performance with unmistakable Ferrari design, making it one of the most sought-after cars on the planet. With the ability to accelerate from 0–60 mph in under three seconds and reach speeds of over 217 mph, it delivers an extraordinary driving experience – and its appearance at the event is expected to be a major draw.

Joining the LaFerrari Aperta as part of the first wave of confirmed vehicles are three more exceptional machines: the striking Ferrari 488 Pista Spider, the loud and fast Lamborghini Aventador Ultimae Roadster, and the track-focused Porsche 911 GT3 RS. Together, they represent some of the most exciting and desirable performance cars in the world today – with many more still to be announced in the coming weeks.

The Supercars event is organised by Alex’s Wish, a charity founded in 2012 by Emma and Andy Hallam to fund research into Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), a devastating muscle-wasting condition that affects 1 in every 3,500 boys – including their own son, Alex. Funds raised through the Supercars event help accelerate the search for new treatments and ultimately a cure.

Visitors at the event can expect a thrilling start to the day, with a series of high-profile convoy arrivals adding to the spectacle. The Ferrari Owners Club will lead the charge, bringing 17 supercars in convoy arriving at 10:30am, followed by a stunning Aston Martin convoy at 10:45am. Shortly after, Supercars of Birmingham will make a dramatic entrance with 20+ supercars arriving together at around 11am, followed by Bentley and Lamborghini at 11:15am, creating an unforgettable experience for guests. With many vehicles already on display from the moment gates open at 10am, there will be no shortage of incredible cars to admire throughout the day.

While the cars take centre stage, the event itself continues to grow as one of Leicestershire’s standout family days out, blending a curated line-up of 100+ supercars and hypercars with live music, street food and entertainment. Following a hugely successful 2025 event, which raised £28,000, organisers are aiming to make things even more special in 2026.

With one of the rarest Ferraris ever built now confirmed – and more major announcements still to come – anticipation for the 2026 event is already building fast. Car fans are encouraged to keep a close eye on Alex’s Wish social media channels for further reveals in the coming weeks.
