This season Everards are launching their first clothing collection celebrating their famous Tiger brand.
Inspired by a relaxed evening down the pub, They wanted to create a laid back, wearable range that could be comfortably layered. Key colours are set against soft fabrics which offer a touch of luxury.
An iconic symbol in our county, the Tiger is synonymous with Leicestershire after the Royal Leicestershire Regiment were nicknamed ‘The Tigers’ in 1825 following their long service in India. It also echoes the name of the local rugby club, the Leicester Tigers who they cheer on with pride!
Their garment designer and printing specialist are both based just down the road from Everards in Nottingham. Their expertise, attention to detail and passion for quality are evident in each piece and cement Everards values in celebrating and supporting local business’.
The new range celebrates the beautiful designs of their beers following feedback saying how much people love the bold illustrated designs, so they explored putting these onto garments. Created with the same care and consideration that goes into their beers these garments are wearable, quality items that they are really proud of!
BIT OF NOSTALGIA…
This collection also celebrates Everards history, bringing back the motorcycle design from the 1970’s Leicestershire Kamikaze Motorcycle Display Team.
Started and run by local bobby, Pc Maurice Tidmarsh, so that youngsters could learn motorbike stunts in a supervised environment. During their displays, the riders would wow the crowds byriding their bikes over cars, humans, through fire and standing on each other’s shoulders to form a human pyramid.
As the club grew they needed support and Everards gave the club £10,000 to buy new bikes. They got 125cc Kawasakis. They were red and yellow and had Everards BreweryKamakazi Race Team written on the side. Leicester Mercury’s Mr Leicester helped with the research of the above information
